I crammed the whole fam damily in the k30 and it won’t be long before the kids grow out of this configuration. Front seat is all the way back. Booster seats are ok for my 8 year old, not a big deal there. It’s just gonna be a weird transition from car seat to booster seat for the little kids.
3 year old and 6 year old in the car seats.

I have buckets in the front of mine with no center console. It all fits better that way.

You should see how bad it is in my wife’s Durango when I drive with my 4yo behind me. He fits perfectly fine in the tundra but the Durango? I almost feel sorry for him until I remember he’s within reach for behind the seat pops when hes being, well a 4yo.

Wait for my future build thread

How does the back seat position compare between crew cab and Suburban?

Based on everything ive seen, sub rear seats are positioned farther back when comparing pillar location in crew cabs and sub rear seats going into the rear side window. Would love to get measurements between vehicles to confirm front of rear seat measurement to back of front seats, positioned all the way back, so apples to apples.

My problem was not the back space, but the side to side.
With 2 kids in car seats and a 17 year old it was tight in any back seat except the suburban.
Now they are in booster seats but my older boy should be able to go with no seats, he just turned 8

Interesting comparison. I had never thought about there being a difference between the 2 back seat distances.

It's the same between single cab and crew cab for the front seat.
The back wall of the cab prevents you from sliding the seat further back

Do you have both?
I do :pimp:
Soon. Well parts of both, that is :D so I dont have to feel guilty turning 2 into 1.

2.5yr old loves big trucks, and we have plenty of car seat time ahead of us, so thats how I’ve justified it to myself. It’ll be slow build, but should be worth it in the end.
