Killed my 1/2" drive rachet...

The Pitsburgh Professional I have has been great. A little rough in action but it is cheap enough I can buy 2 for under $25 and still have a life time warrenty. Besides if things are tight use a breaker bar or impact not the ratchet. I also have a full set of CAT (snap-on) ratchets and still find myself using the Pitsburghs more often for the "I don't care if they break" factor.

ones made in 1986 or 87 are a heck of a lot better made and stronger than the new ones you buy off the shelf today.

If you search for my post I broke 3 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchets in a WEEK. None with a cheater bar on them. One was broken out of the sealed box... Slipped whichever way you went.

Don't get me wrong, I have a LOT of Craftsman tools, I make my living with them, but if I could afford to I'd replace all my drive tools with Matco or SnapOn.
Like he said they ain't what they used to be.
