alright once the truck WARMS up, i have a hesitation/bog nomatter the rpm range or gear, (cruisin at 2k accel bog, feels like its WAY rich the goes)

like i said the rpm doesnt matter, as long as it WAS constant (ie acceleration)

its a sbc, hei, msd ign, some used plug wires the msd didnt like the accel wires...and a 1406carb, and im runnin ac-r43ts plugs

the carb did sit in my shop for like 3 months while i had the stock intake on adn the q-jet when i found out i warped my intake and i was saving for a new one.

im stumped...it may be the fuel filter but its one of those clear ones and there NO dirt/debris in it....

maybe i should run the 45s not the 43s? (plugs) the diff is the "hottness" correct? and if so the colder plug WOULDNT burn the fuel as good correct?

did i just answer my own question?

I'd look for vacume leaks or other emission related gremlins as well - if it's only running ratty after it warms up throw a vacume gage on it and see if the idle vacume changes.

If it sat for 3 months could be sticky goo in the carb. Try pulling the filter and temporarily run it around without it. The filter could be bad from the factory.

Not an auto tranny is it?

It's all about the Sea Foam....

Shock treat that sucker.. Throw 2 or 3 cans in your fuel tank.. That'll loosen up that carb sludge...

yes it is an auto tranny...hmm i never did think about it slipping...its not the tranny holding the truck back. like i said the motor literally bogs down.

ive got 1can so im gonna try it in the booster line first tehn ill get some more for the tank.
I'd look for vacume leaks or other emission related gremlins as well

there are no emissions on this truck :D the only thing on it is teh pcv valve. but i consider that more of a mechanical help than emissions...

welp i went out and put sea foam in the carb, adjusted the timing (too advanced) adn found out that the #7plug wire on the dizzy wasnt clipped down so wehni got to work well find out if that cure it or not.

it still prob needs a full tune up but i need money:( :haha:

well, you where just seafoaming under the throttle blades.. you need to run it thru the tank to get the bowl, etc....
