Yup. But, that section isn't very big. There are a couple decent size dunes. Nothing like Olds or Comp in Glamis, but very steep and fun with a big V8.

Johnson Valley OHV area is literally 160,000 acres big. AFAIK, its the largest OHV park in the country. The Hammers is just a small area of that section.

The Hammers are a hard core guy's dream. No online pics or amateur video does it justice. This movie should though. I know Jeff and Dave personally, and have wheeled with both out there.

FWIW, Jeff Knoll is one of the drivers of the Dust Junkie's Racing team and formally the man behind the old CRCA(California Rock Crawling Assoc). They built the first Wrangler to compete in the Jeepspeed series. Dave Cole used to compete in the Formula Toyota class and will be competing in the pro division with a brand new buggy in several of the comp series. These guy know their stuff and are great representatives for the sport.

Jeff also organized the major trash cleanup a couple years ago(and since then) around Bump Dump and several other location in Moab during EJS to keep the environmentalists at ease.

I miss running fast in that dessert. That is where I broke the Jimmy in. We camped out there at least 6 times a year. If you ever get a chance to go. GO.
