King pin studs

How what is the best way to put the kinging pin cap studs in since there is no head like a bolt..Just tighten them up with a pair of vice grips around the smooth area of the stud good and tight with some lock tight...
Kinda dumb ??? but making sure there isnt something I might miss

go to sears and get a stud install/removale tool less than 20 buck i think. it will help you big time. it uses a 1/2 drive and is round with off set cam in it to bite the stud flat spot. and clean the hole and use locktite for sure.

or take two nuts, lock them together on the stud and screw it on in....not the best but it does work
