I'll be getting new tires soon and I can't decide if I should go with the tried and true KM2 or try something new with the KO2

315/75/16
KO2 is 241.99
KM2 is 323.99

These are on tire rack.

My blazer isn't a hardcore wheeler....yet lol. I spend a lot of time on the street but when I do go out it's mainly a lot of trails I ride with nothing getting to serious.

if its primarily street driven, i'd stick w/ the ATs. They have much better all weather traction. if you're planning on getting more in the dirt, go MT. you still won't be disappointed w/ their street performance. the only place MTs lose to the AT is if its icy, imo.

and 4wheel parts has better prices than tire rack.

i'm surprised how much more 35s are for 16" wheels than 15s. i just bought some MTs and they were only $225

I'd add that don't expect the mileage durability out of the KM2 that you'd get from the KO... mine where quiet and performed outstanding, but didn't wear nearly as well as all-terrains I've had in the past...

Mutt chewed up the KM2's.. they aren't the oldschool mud terrains.. those and malls, you'd get 50 g's out of.. the KM2 is much softer..

Well I'm really leaning towards the KO2. I'll be running on beadlocked wheel so I can air down pretty low. The redesign KO looks like it'll have a little better bite in the dirt with the new side wall

My km2's are pushing 36-40 miles, still 40-50% tread. Cupping will kill them before they wear out. Silly cranked ifs rigs :doah:

AT's, period.

I'm waiting for the tires on my '98 Jimmy to wear down more so I can get some AT's.

And the next tires for my newly acquired '01 2500HD will also be AT's.

BFG makes some good tires.

BFG AT's like to hold gravel in from my drive way or dirt roads and sling them couple miles later down road is my only complaint.

it's funny you say that because I've always thought the BFGs were good about NOT holding on to gravel. I'm regretting going w/ Mastercrafts when I bought new tires for the Dodge last year because they hold on to rocks much worse than the BFGs .

we use 3/4" stone in our marina... Mutt's KM2's would hold that sh*t all the time... I was always flinging them out miles down the road... :haha:
