Anyone know anything about Kodiacs?

Suposed to be the same tire as Sport Kings.

Never heard of either. But I have a friend in the tire business that can get a set for less than $130 ea. for a set of 5.

Good? No good?

I can vouch for the Kodiak Gilletes. They are comparable to a BFG A/T. They are great on road, I drove the truck cross country from western Nevada to southeastern Oklahoma. I've also driven them on everything from gravel roads to rocks to mud. For the money I paid, I couldn't have asked for a better A/T tire. To boot, heres how they look with 8 years/35k miles on them.

If they're the same as Sport Kings, then they're pretty good for a low-budget tire. The only problem I had with the SK's I had were they seemed a little prone to rock punctures. They wore great and seemed to last forever. They were on my '72 Chevy for 3 years, and still on it when I sold it. One pounture had 4 plugs in it, but it held that way for over a year with no leakage.:doah:

Rock punctures OK. The only off-road this thing will see will be easy drives through the woods and maybe sneak off to what's left of the west end of Dauphin Island
