Kubota skid steer acting up. Ran it for about 3-4 hrs and it died. Tried the following
- Bypassing the seat sensor
- Checked the oil level
- Checked all fuses

It turns over fine

Any tricks to getting it up and running again?

Usually if it’s electrical it won’t turn over. As far as safety features on a skid steer from my experiences with them. Or it will run but not move or function.
Fuel and air is where I’d start.

Call a good Kubota tech.

Fuel is fine 3/4 full
It turns over fine... no issue
Kubota has been called already
Have not checked the hrs on the fuel filter

It was just in for a recall repair.

Not my equipment, hence the lack of detail on my part.

Back pasture is tore up as .^#*@*&%&@ IE why id like to get ole girl back online. Don't even have any good pictures to share. Other than these.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've heard kubotas have issues with the fuel shut off solenoid. Also small leaks letting air in the fuel lines especially on the suction side but you would probably see air in the fuel filter. You could try bleeding it. The other issue they have is cracks in the pick up tube in the tank. Orangetractortalks.com has been a good source for me in the past. Justanswers.com is a pay site but its like 10 bucks or something to talk to a tech

What ^he^ said. I have small 3 banger diesel I'm messing with. No electronics, but fuel solenoid is bad, it will crank till the battery goes dead but won't start. Bypass it and will fire right up. I'd check for leaks, bypass the solenoid, maybe spray some starting fluid in it to see if it at least will fire....

Any smoke from exhaust while cranking?
Maybe post up a pic of engine, it should have a hand primer pump inline or by injection pump.

It was just in for a recall repair.
What was the repair?

Might try a bump of ether to see if it will fire. If it tries, then lack of fuel is like issue.

You said 3/4 tank, but is that on the guage (which could be defective and showing incorrectly), or verified there is fuel?

If fuel definitely there, start chasing the fuel circuit.

Is there fuel to the filter? If not, is there a lift pump, and is it running? If so, is it getting fuel out of the filter? Plugged filter?

If fuel is getting to, and through the filter, is it getting to the injection pump? If so, is it coming out of the pump and going to the injectors? If so, you might try bleeding the lines to the injectors?

If the motor is cranking like its trying to start, I would doubt it being something like a safety switch because it probably wouldn't even try to turn over.

Sounds like it might be a rental, so you might just have them fix it.
