Well I tried to use the replacement lights, for the 194/168 bulb replacement, and the lights around my guages are dimmer with a slight glow. I think the beam is focused rather than broad, and does not allow for the factory plastic backing to absorb the light properly.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Otherwise /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I hope they fit my Christmas Tree!

white hot replacement bulbs will brighten the lights right up when you remove the cluster clean everythig up real good i put them in my truck and they work like new a little pricey but worth it. you can find them at any place that installs radio's and aftermarket toys's ???????? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I'm pretty sure that they are filament. Here are some pics of a before and after on a Camaro:

The company that sells them is : http://members.aol.com/rmacewen1/index.html
Now the company that sells these are mainly for the F-Bodies so I don't know if the bulbs are the same? Also they added the white gauges to make it a little more dramatic but you get the point.
