Thinking of adding ladders bars to the bogger during the off season. Truck is an '86 K5 on 44s with ( yeah I already know) 12 bolt locked rear with 4.56 and open 10 bolt front. Power is a built 496. Any ideas?

Thanks 79rustyk10. Shame it burned 3 weeks after that pic was taken. Completely gutted cab and new paint. Got a donor just have to take time and get it done.

Check out Avery's bar he just finished. Pretty standard design used around here.

A bar like that would work for an application like yours, for awhile. If you use your truck mostly as a Mud racer you run a higher risk of spinning u tube. i would feel better running a traditional dual ladder bar setup. You are limiting your suspension movement. But it's not as crucial in your application. You could 4 link it too.

x2.

Yeah I found Avery's set-up today and thought that it might work. Truck is mud only so as you said susp movement is not an issue for me. 200' straight hole and hopefully go out.

You could try a set-up like mine.

But with that kind of power, I would suggest using larger tubing than I did. and some actual rod ends.

(Yes half the welds look like ass.... they're fixed now)

Weld the tubes to the center section as mentioned in Avery's thread. Mine are already done in anticipation of the traction bar.
