lamborghini door hinges

You want to make your doors gull-wing or something? Hinge up instead of side-to-side?

Now, me, I always wanted to do a Burb or six-pack with suicide doors in the back. I've seen a couple and they're sweet... but that's a lot of work, never mind reinforcing the A-pillar and roof to make the doors go UP. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

and yeah, i want them to flip up
why? why not.

I remember some show on cable mentioned a kit that would work for almost any vehicle... I know they did one to a Honda on Pimp My Ride... but I think I remember someone on Spike's Power Block doing that to an older car or truck... /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I would almost suspect that the truck doors are too flimsy in the upper area for them to stay in one piece for very long with that setup.

I may underestimate how strong the window area is, but it doesn't take much force to distort the window area.

dissassemble, and reinforce heavily, sounds very doable, with the proper planning and equipment /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif/forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

On monster garage a week or 2 ago they had this car thing they made into a garbage collector. They used a few hydralic rams to open the door and push the arm outside. If you re-inforced the door alot, and mounted some hydraulic rams on either side it would be do-able /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
