Just wondering what is the largest size tire that will fit under and 80's (mine-1990) STOCK Blazer, Stock rims 15x8, would 32x11.5R15, would 33X12.5R15 fit? I don't want to cut my fenders up. I won't be flexing, street driving and maybe some trail riding. Would 33's fit with ORD zero rate add a leafs. If I got 15x10 rims 3 5/8 offset down the line, would they stick out too far and rub?

Thanks

i know someone will post this, so I will first

I don't think the 32 would rub very much (if at all) with the stock wheels, maybe only when hitting a bump and turning at the same time. Using a wider wheel with more offset will definitely cause them to rub.

I know you said no trimming, but I had stock suspension with 33x15.5r15 TSL SX's on 15x12 wheels with VERY minimal trimming, and the trimming I did do was not on any part of the body that can really be seen. I can take pics if you need me to

you SHOULD post them pics..
10bux it look like a ghettoblaster:haha:

31s are definitely safe

32s are pushing it

33s are pretty much out

Now, with that said, I put 33x12.5s on stock 15x7 alloys with no rub, even on the trail. Untill I removed my sway bar, then it rubbed, and then I trimmed. I would say, if you want 33s, keep them on stock wheels (15x7 or 15x8) and add yourself some zero rates for additional clearance. Keep the sway bar and keep it on the street and MILD trail usage if you go off road.

This is the right answer.
33's will work on a stock truck with stock wheels, once you go wider wheels it will rub, you remove the sway bar it will rub...

What if you move the axle 1 inch forward ? I guess the rubbing problem is at the rear part of the front fender ?

I've run 35's

I'll get a pic when I get home.
I had 15 x 8 wheels though with 2.5 backspacing.

ive run 32 11.50's on a 15x10 and they only rubbed when turned at full stuff, and i had no problems with my 33x 9.50's on stock rallys when wheeling.

I think the honest answer is how bad do your front springs sag? There is no reason you cannot run 33's without rubbing and no trimming if your springs are in good shape. But width of the wheels, width of the tires, backspacing and spring sag are all variables that can work for or against you.

I've run 285/75R16's (basically a narrow 33) on 8" wide wheels, 4.5" backspacing and non-sagging stock 3 leaf front spring pack with no trimming or rubbing. I did have to tap the lower rear fender lip back 1/4-1/2" with a hammer in a location that is not normally seen.

What did you have to do to make em fit Cherry? Did they rub anywhere?

I cut the inner corner of the fenders out. Directly in front and behind the tire. That was the only place I had a problem. I even bent and reused the trim piece. You can't even tell I did anything.

sorry for not responding sooner, but thank you to everyone that has responded, So from what I understand that is I could run 33x12.5 on a 15x8 rim, but i may have to do some minor trimming to the front frender. I mean if Cherry can run 35 with minor cutting i think I could run 33's Does anyone have any pictures of a stock blazer on 33's
Thanks again
Tom
