:mad: :mad: So would I be considered a procrastinator if the only thing holding my OLD motor in was the bell housing bolts and the new to me motor is sitting on the engine stand waiting for Intake manifold and accessories to be swapped before it gets planted in the jimmy???

Well good thing I am on vacation starting tomorrow morning. It'll be busting knuckles time:rolleyes:

Well no zoom zoom. Even after a weeklong thrash fest in the garage it no worky. So it stays in the garage and I am fording for blazer bash.

Anybody wanna give a tired lousy mechanic a lift???????? See ya in a few hours.

Break-in on the drive to Moab? You just need to make it a circuitous route that totals about 500-miles. :crazy:

I broke in a new motor on the way to BB '02... not the ideal way to do it, but I got the oil changed at a "Flying J" truck stop in one of those BIG oil change booths!!!

If you want MOAB bad enough....you do what you have to do!!! :saweet:

We had a big trip planned right after I rebuilt the motor in the K5 now. Actually to Moab, but not Blazer Bash this was before I knew about CK5.

Anyways part of my rebuild budget included enough money for gas to break-in the motor before we went on our trip. :D
 
Well I gave it one heck of a try. But ultimately some kind of starter problem got me and I give. I will however be headed to Moab just in a ford. SORRRY!! Well Dangit someday the jimmy will run Moab.
 
Well that stinks!

Dad and I are talking about making a Moab trip in April next year just before EJS. Plus I think there will be a lot of the Colorado Crew going next year that couldn't make it this year. Me, B_to_C, INTERCEPTOR, Cricket, fred2mihi, and hopefully BigNick & firefighter too.

Yessireeeeee I think there will a huge showing from the Colorado Crew next BB. Right after the 1st of the new year I'M putting in for vacation time for BB--2007. I haven't had that darned old truck out since the 4th of July, I'm in bad need of a trail run.

Open invite for January wheelin in AZ while you guys are snow covered , picl a Friday , drive down , its only one state , camp with us by the trailhead , leave Sunday morning . We have no huge up and down hills , just huge boulders , canyons , cracks , ledges , and dusty dirt :thumb:
