Late model 14 bolt ?

So I picked up a fined and disked 14 bolt single rear wheel axle from the junk yard . How do I tell what gear ratio its got , what it the wsm ,is the factory locker worth a s**t ,is the yoke 1350 like the old ones ,is it any better than the 80s model other than the disk brakes ?
 
my cousin pulled one of those from a '90 4x4 big block suburban
been beatin on it for years
which one is stronger? Not sure, but I think the finned one is cast, but still plenty strong.
Pull the diff cover and check the gears. Either look on the flat side for a number or count the teeth. You need to pull the cover anyway to check it's condition and change fluid.
 
do what he said above me and on the ring gear there should be numbers. such as (41 10) or (41 11) divide the numbers ex: 41/11=3.73 or 41/10=4.10

Most likely the yoke is a 1410 size, 1350 is usually only used in half ton applications in modern GM trucks. The center section is stronger than the older version. The fins were added to increase structural rigidity and for increased cooling capacity. If it has a factory locker it would be a G80 which work but are not the greatest locker
