late model front seat.. anyone?

How difficult would it be to swap a late model bench seat with the fold down center section ino an older burb? The front seats in my 89 need to be refurbished and the center console is crap, i was wondering if anyone has swapped in a late model truck bench with the center seat/console that folds up or down. Anyone done this or have pictures of this? and which years work best?

I know late model bucket seats go in with a little fabricating, but I think with a bench, you'll have to keep an eye out for clearance over the tranny hump. But non-power seats are a pretty universal affair, just brackets and bolts holding it all together. It should work fairly well with a bit brains with a welder and grinder.
