i checked the search first, but did not find what i was looking for. i want to get a front seat from a late model truck that has the seat belt mounted as part of the seat back. like on a dodge extra cab or similar. i like the flip down console, but also would like to have the middle seat which is why i was leaning toward dodge, that and the seats are just flat comfy for someone my height. has anyone done something like this? pictures if you have them so i can get a better idea of what i want...

They fit very nicely in a K5. Make sure you brace the CRAP out of the floors though. The stock floor pan is not built to handle the stress of holding you and the seat down when you hit something at 60+ mph, the seat can, and most likely will pull right through the floor.

And no, big washers are NOT sufficient, we are talking a good 4" wide piece of plate steel on both sides of the sheet metal, for each track that runs the whole length under the floor pan.

How hard is it to make them work in a K5? Custom seat braces, anything else required? I would think this would be the solution to getting seatbelts that match the new interior colors.

Less bracing the floor, they practically bolt straight in. Infact, I think they even use a bunch of the same bolt holes...

Mine Were From An 02 Silverado Pickup. Since We Were Replacing Rusted Floor Pans Enyway, We Fabricated New Holes.
Ride Heigth Is Fine. Very Comfortable Althou Since Not Running Yet, Couldn't Tell You About Longer Trips.

Hey Matt, you have a text! I have a set of these seats sitting in my shop. Need some cleanup, but are in good shape otherwise!

Seat height is just right with the new seats/brackets. I added some thick sheetmetal to the bolt hole areas before undercoating the bottom of the cab. Also some different sized washers top and bottom. The GM bucket seats from 99-07 all should have the integrated seatbelts for the most part. Bought mine on Ebay too. Luckily not many passengers riding in the back seat, because the power option makes it a pain in the a** to get in the back. :doah:

Edit: I think only 1 (maybe 2) of the bolt holes for each seat lined up for me. Making new holes was easy. I put a bolt in the old holes from below with some thread sealer.

They should fit, but they do not have the integrated seatbelt. Seats from an '02 Silverado are really comfy as compared to the seats from any K series I have had.

My factory floor pushed through with my factory seats. I had to cut out the old metal and weld in 12 gauge plates where the seats mount. Those heavy seats would likely rip my welds right out.

What type of bracing did ya'll use? Anyone have pictures?

I`m not worried about the seat belts.I just want something cheap that will allmost bolt right in.
