I've seen a couple of the ORU trucks in person out in the dunes (their silver blazer and the lifted dually tow rig) and man do they build some nice trucks.

I wish I had pics, but the local 4x4 shop has a late 90s burb sfa. Chopped roof tapered front, full cage, gm quadrasteer rear 60 and 40" mtrs

I think the tahoe/yukon would make a cool platform too. a little shorter, but still has 4 doors. nicer inside amenaties and fi...

i want the burban due to its size and ability to carry lots of stuff.i will be my eureka rig and since i would be spending 8-11 days straight in it i want to be comfy while i wheel.my jimmy is just too small

We take the wife's 07 Tahoe on road trips and I'm always wishing she got the burb. The DVD player is nice, but you cant stretch out in the back to watch it. Now my suburban easily fits a full size mattress and a bunch of gear. I just need a DVD player:rolleyes:

ORU seems to be the frontrunner in SAS kits. Sweet trucks for sure.

so sense we are discussing late model rigs... do you think its more feasable/practical/affordable to take a late model rig and do a sas and make it more trail worthy than it is to take our older rigs and add injection, overdrive and all the newer niceties to our older trucks...

and on sortof a tangent, is it just me or are the older burbs bigger inside than the newer ones? i've had both and to me the older ones are just plain bigger...

mostly i want the creature comforts and looks of the newer rig.i can find nice clean solid square body burbans easily.found 3 today while looking on craigslist. besides its fun to pull a late model rig in and start chopping on them lol.
i have a expedition already but i want the room of the burban.

i would like some more creature comforts too. but mostly overdrive would be the biggest thing. the problem with the mid to late 90s rigs for me is the initial purchase price and most rigs in this rage are pushin well over 100k on the clock...

they are way overpriced though. shaffers off road will hopefully start a kit. i know there were lots of suggestions for it
