Is the LAV the same as the stryker. Our local surplus dealer says they mostly come from strykers. My buddy just bought the xml version of it looks mean on his truck heres a pic

They have a run flat insert in them you have to saw out, I kid you not.

Mostly the same. Different branch of service.

Are Strykers amphibious?

just took a good look at them. Are they a 2pc rim or something likr that? I dont see how to get them apart at all.

Yep those are Military Michelin XL's. Have fun taking those wheels off. I sure had fun watching my friends get them off. One dismounted every half hour if your lucky enough to have the right tools. Beat the rim with a BFH then beat the tire down away from the rim. Then try to get the c-ring out with a air chisel hammer work the c-ring out and your almost there. Once you get the c-ring out the ring will come off and the tire is ready to come off the wheel. Oh and the run flats are easy pry away from tire and cut with a saws-all. Have fun with those tires. My friend is running those on his F-350. They sure are loud. I will be running the XZL's myself like the red K5 Blazer

I am selling some of these tires for a friend in AZ if anyone is interest they are in the classified section under Tires and Wheels:

it this a beadlock rim like the h1 rims?
I run them (XL's)on my k20 and love them, they are truly awsome off-road. I run 10 psi in front and 8 in the rear now. 20 psi is plenty for the highway and my truck weighs 6200 lbs!! The bead lock/runflat setup is similar to the hummer but the wheel is TOTALLY different. the best way I have found to dismount them : slide tire under something heavy( i used my 23'000 lb mechanics truck), use bottle jack on bead flange to compress the runflat, peel out some of the lock ring w/ pry bar, and use an air chisel to peel out the rest of the lock ring. pull off the outer bead ring, rubber seal, and if your real lucky you can push the wheel out of the tire and runflat, cannot stress enough how much easyer lots of lube like ru-glyde makes this. then it looks like the easyest way to get the runflat out is to push it to one side and cut it. I used a truck mounted crane, 2 nylon straps and plenty o-lube to pull the runflat out of the tire. here's some pics - my truck goin' through the Golden Crack in Moab(@ 15 psi - too much, 10 is way better) View attachment 33233
XL's on 6" lift and lots of trimming(actually had to trim lots more than this shows)
