Did Gm Ever Use Lead Based Paint? If So What Year Did They Stop. Been Sanding My Blazer, Getting Ready For Paint. Started Thinking, I Might Need A Respirator.

pretty sure there hasn't been lead in paint since the days of nitrocelulous lacquer... ages ago, at least the 60's...

from my understanding, after WW2, the auto paints had lots of gunpowder in the mix.. yup, gunpowder.... think they stopped that in the 50's... the oldtimers would wetsand fresh paint in those days with gasoline...

but yes, wear a respirator, sanding dust of any sort isn't "good" for ya...
