I'm looking at getting some new bushings from Summit. What is the difference between the leaf spring bushings that are for stock springs versus the ones that are for aftermarket springs? Thanks.

Stock ones are for springs that are 3" wide, and ones for aftermarket are for 2 1/2" wide springs.

Second this, and...

Be aware of two different types of aftermarket spring bushings.

Superlift and Skyjacker are the only two that use a smaller bushing in the very forward most spring eye. All other lift springs use the same and bigger bushing than the Superlift or Skyjacker.

Best thing to do is to measure your front springs holes for the forward and rearward bushings. If both measure the same diameter, you have Superlift or Skyjacker springs. If one hole is bigger than the other, you have a different brand.

Rancho uses two different spring bushings on their springs, for some reason they use 2 different spring eye i.d.why they do that is beyond me. what it comes down to is removing 1 spring and do some measuring.

The Rancho springs I've had used a bigger bushing in the forward eye and smaller in back. Rancho has never had springs with the same size bushings forward and rearward.

yup rancho is different too...

it would be unsafe to use polys designed for the stock springs on aftermarket because they could Slide around and when ;you turn the springs would slide left and right correct?
