hey guys i wanna lower, yes lower. my 2wd 1990 suburban. it has leafs in the back. is there a thread on here or a web site that can sho me how to do a leaf spring flip?

take u bolts off, take springs out stick em under and put u bolts back on?
flip your leaf spring hangars too i would imagine.
least that seems like the logical option.
Unless you are talking about just the springs flipping them... if so then
I'm not saying it can't be done... I just want to watch, from a distance of course.

Either get some lowering shackles that are longer for the rear hanger or get new leaf spring perches and weld em on under the tube. Only seen drop shackles myself.

never seen full size get spring under like you want in our style of stuff.
and prob wont clear the road it will scrape.

You can do a spring under. We have a customer that planned to do it.
New perches welded on the bottom of the axle. New center pins for the springs with the head of the pin opposite the way it normally is. Spring plate on the bottom of it all.
Never seen it all done or heard back. I'd imagine it'd be like lowering it some where around 7-8".

yes it's do-able. I did a rear "flip-kit" on a fullsize single cab I had when I was in high school. It just requires moving yours, or welding new spring perches on the other side and bolting it all back together. I think the drop was ~6" . You'll have to get a small c-notch and reinforcement plate kit cuz the axle will hit bad if you don't. (most flip-kits come with them).
Exactly this, very common way to lower trucks.
And yeah, you'll need to cut the old perches off and weld new ones to the bottom of the axle tubes.
It will lower it 4-5" or so, the distance from the old perches to the new ones.

Going from spring over to spring under is easy. Like mentioned above you need to notch the frame. I sure hope you were not planning to flip the spring over.
