I was contemplating getting some of these for a 52" bastard pack that I will be putting together one of these days.

They have a hole in them for a rivet like the stock ones, not sure where I'd get that kind of rivet or how I'd even be able to install it.

Just seeing if anyone has used them and if so how well did they work/ how long did they hold up?

those are called quick clips there cheep option . thats not a rivet hole ether . just a dimple to line up with a hole. and factory rivets for this use are just hammered flat with a good size hammer .

if you have a spring shop near buy then have them do real spring pack clips with the bolt together style and run them a little tall to let the pack flex out .

the super tight ones like quick clips and others dont let the pack flex / open up when off-road .

Great advice, thanks. I found a local spring shop that manufacturers and rebuilds leaf springs so that'll probably be my best bet.

tell them your end use and if you plan on flexing a lit . that way they can leave the bolt together style clamps a bit tall in the sides to let the pack fan out .

if there any sorta good spring shop they will understand this . I use to do spring work for a year over 10 years ago .

If you're going to talk to a spring shop about working on the springs tell them what you're doing and hopefully they can recommend a leaf package that will make the 52's work on the front. It may save you a few iterations of guess and check in building the spring pack.

I think I may have been talked into getting some 6" lift springs for the front.

The local shop was asking more for a main leaves than Alcan was when I called so I'll probably stray from them.

Yea, I think that's the place. Got stock height, new springs from them. Then bought front BDS springs from Predator, just up the street and added a block in the rear.
They wanted $125 each to make me 52" main leaves... Alcan wanted $100. RMS&S wanted $250 for x2 mil wrap main leaves, Alcan $200. I had to pass knowing the quality that Alcan delivers.

Do you remember how much you paid for the BDS springs at Predator? I've been to their shop once.

I'm looking at Pro-comp 6" springs through 4WP on recommendation from @obijuank5. Saw a video of his truck flexing out with them so they don't seem stuff like a lot of lift springs.

The BDS and ProComp 6" springs share the same P/N but online the BDS cost around $100 more if I remember correctly.

I don't remember off hand. I'd have to dig into the receipts to find it. I basically went with ride performance recommendations. Either Tuff Country or BDS, softrides. After install, I still had a little springy feel up front so I took out the lowest leaf. Helped in ride and didn't really drop the front end much.
