leaf spring lengths?

Just curious...
I am looking for some leaf spring measurements.
Blazer: 52"??
Short box GM pickup: 52"??
Long box GM pickup: 56"??

I have a friend that needs some springs for his shortbed 81 GM pickup. He says that he only can use springs from a Blazer, not a truck. Is he right? What other springs can he use? I have a set out of a 3/4T 4x4 long box, but he thinks he cant use them.

blazers and 1/2 tons have 52" springs along with a good amount of 3/4 tons . Some 3/4 tons and all one tons have 56" springs
