Leaf Spring Size

Most of the lift kit companies list 52" leaf springs for the 73-87 trucks. Where is this measurement taken at on the spring?

eye to eye if you take ur tape measure and put it on one leaf spring bolt to the other that is measureing eye to eye... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks. I'll check the size tomorrow. I figured this was the case but thought the measurement would change if the spring was starting to sag.
