I need advice on what are the best leaf springs that keep a smooth ride..
I would like to go 2/2.5 lift max and run 33" tires.. My leafs need to be replaced and I figure if I'm taking things apart for tie rod ends etc., might as well do springs. I would like them to last a long time.

86 Silverado currently have 31's on stock height.
I searched and found plenty of info on 4" lifts..
I don't want to run blocks..

off the shelf = tuff country .

NOT = rough country = real stiff dump truck .

and nothing wrong with blocks in the rear . but if you wish you can do leafs in the back .

call www.offroaddesign.com these guys will hook you up with what you need after asking you a few questions. and there a vendor here. :waytogo:

This/\. Or check out skyjacker or bds I hear people love their lower lifts ride quality is supposed to be good.

I have Rough Country and the name says it all. Guess I can't complain. They should rename it "You're Gonna Hate This Sh$t" if they wanted to be completely forward.

i have been debateing taking out my 4" lift and going this route too. can you let me know what you think of it

thanks
mike

If your not worried about price I like national springs.

They offer 100 % return , why did you keep the Rough Country ? I have been on phone with them all week , I am going to try their 4 in system with rear springs . If I hate it , guess I wasted my time putting it on ? Take it off and get my money back .
http://www.roughcountry.com/guarantee/ looks like I would loose my taxes ....... I live about 1 hr from RC going to try it

I've heard RC's 2 1/2" lifts aren't as stiff. No personal experience with that tho....
