Do the front doors on a 1991 k5 always have leaking problems? I never had the issue that I remember on my 76 truck. I replaced the seals already and it helped but still did not fix it. Perhaps the doors need to be rehung but before I go about doing that wanted to get experiences from others. Do yours leak?

Are they leaking where the door seal meets the door frame? Is this in only one area , or most of the way around the door?

Just at the top but on both doors. Caused the only rust in the whole truck from what I can. I have cut out and repaired the rust and don't want it back.

Seems a little odd to me, but...
My '90 Jimmy has welded on drip rails/ pinch weld. They shield the door frame a little, but is there any chance that the problem is there?
You should be able to loosen the door hinges, on the door, and rock the whole door to bring it in at the top. Go slow since this will move the bottom out. This, to me , is the better method than bending the top , or window frame , in. That's what has to be done on a lot of newer vehicles. These old doors are pretty stiff in that area.

Have you checked the condition of your door hinge bushings? It seems to me that if they’re worn then it would allow the door to not seat against the frame as snugly as it should. You can check by lifting the bottom of the door and pushing on the upper side when it’s open. Any play can be felt.

Previous owner noted he had replaced the door hinge bushings. This is helpful to know that it isn't normal. My assumption now is that after he replaced the bushings they weren't hung quite right..... I have some folks I know at the local body shop that might hook me up with a favor..... I might run it by there if I can't get it adjusted myself. Appreciate the help fellas!!!
