Hey guys, was looking under the hood today at my newly rebuilt 400 and noticed that the carb is leaking gas from under the filter on the front of the carb where the fuel inlet is. My question is it something that I can just replace, tighten, or do I need to rebuilt the carb or get a new one. I believe the carb is still stock from way back in 78, which is a Rochester m4mc.

It sounds like you need a new teflon seal ring. This is a round seal, usaly white that fits over the threads of the filter fitting.

Is that a part that I can get from a normal parts store liker Checker, Autozone or Napa? Thanks
