The vinyl seats in the 78 K5 are ripped badly. I would like to use the original high backs but have the seats recovered in tan leather. Has anyone done this? What would be the cost? Are their any pre-made options that are good?
 
I am trying to figure out what to do with the Brady Bunch plaid high backs in my 78 as well. I was looking on LMC a little while ago and they do have pre made covers in both vinyl and velor. I am just unsure of the quality of them.
 
I have the plaid orange-ish seats in my 78 too. Things last forever. I want different seats because mine do not lay back.

I don't have stock front seats, but this is the original backseat. I had them recovered by a local upholstery shop. $450 for the material and labor for all 3. Before and after pics:
