LED conversion for stock tail lights?

This will work with any flasher that uses a 8 pin timer chip inside it. Pretty much every "electronic" flasher made.

Hey Captain Wild Bill Kelso....I have to do a complete overhaul on my K30 and thought I might try and upgrade the lighting to save some amps, and be more visible. I may just install some regular off the shelf LED oval or round lights, but still considering maybe trying to save the OEM tail light looks. I thought the circuit board can be had for cheap and a good idea to squeeze in under the OEM red lense to replace the old incandescent bulbs.

On a side note, did you and your P38 find that Jap squadron over Fresno?:weapon22:

No, I caught one in the radiator and had to ditch it in the ocean.:D

I just installed the resistors for the tail lights. The bulbs now work...however there is a horrible bleed problem lighting up all kinds of stuff. Any thoughts. Do front turn bulbs need resistors as well?

If they are LED, I'm sure they need the resistors. Or, as was posted up above, modify the electronic flasher.

As far as I'm concerned, modifying the flasher is the only way this "mod" is worth it. Would be one thing if they were a low buck drop in solution. They aren't.
