LED wiring help

got my new LED's intalled

but im having trouble getting the brake and turn to work since they are the same wire is seems, i dunno am i doing something wrong... /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Brake and turn use the same wire... The LED's should have 3 wires, ground, stop/turn, and tail.

Yep just like my trailer light specials on the flatbed, except mine ground through the mount. If they dont work that way something up front is messed up.

well, if my brakes are on the turn signals won't work,(just stays solid) but if the brakes are off then they work fine, also if my tails lights are on (work fine) but once i turn on the blinker the both flash like hazards.

So does your truck use the same wire for turn signals and brakes stock? Or did it have seperate wires? If it had seperate wires you have to buy the turn signal adapter thing made for trailers. You can buy them at most auto parts stores in the trailer light section.

Seems he has a '78 so it should be like mine.... hmmmm... mine or his might not be stock wiring though...
