I have a 1989 Blazer w/ 4in susp lift and 33 12-50's. When I go over a pot-hole, rock, etc. it makes a loud clunk or pop that I can feel in the steering wheel. I have had both upper and lower ball jts replaced. IT makes the noise if hubs are locked or unlocked. Any help would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!!!

Did it make the noise before the ball joints were replaced?

Check:
Drag link
Steering box
Shock bolts
TRE
Spring bolts
Sway bar bolts

Yea, it made the popping before and the local 4x4 mechanic thought it was the ball jts because they did have some play in the drivers side.

Well, you just have to get under there and see what's loose.
Might help to take the weight off the suspension (jack up by the frame), it's easier to grab and wiggle stuff that way.
I had a noise like that once on my '97 K2500, turned out to be the shock bolt was coming loose.

I have the exact same setup and I can make mine pop by just turning the wheel back and forth.......steering box is tight with braces installed ...... cant find the source of the noise yet....I also have a thing where if im offroading and come back to street driving my wheel is off center to the right. Funny thing is when I bump it against the curb I hear a pop/snap and wheel is fine again.....go figure. I think Ill find it when it breaks. Let us know if you find anything.

Mine makes that noise and it is the lower leaf in the spring pack slipping one way then the other when I turn the wheel. I might have a loose or broken center pin I just have not had the time to take it apart and see.:o
