Could you use 2 tranny jacks? I think I paid 75 for one at Harbor Freight a couple years ago. I think it is rated at 350 or 400 pounds so 2 of them might not be strong enough to get under or lift high.

a buddy of mine made some roller carts for axles, its basically a 2x12 with a big V notch cut into it and gusseted to the box frame with rollers. works pretty good.

ditto on that idea. I got a couple machinery dollies from work, 1" thick plywood 18x18" on 4 swivel casters. You can get them at garage sales etc.

put zero money into it,bro.:laugh:and thats where i am at.the pallet jack will lift 5000lbs,so i just need to build something for it to lift.BUT the thing has to fit through a 36in door.i'm thinking a wood frame thing with the axle on an angle.?

i was thinking that same thing. but i would like the axle to be at a comfortable heighth.skooch around it with my old desk chair.AND DAVE. i have three dolly wheels.i can't find the fourth.....:dunno:big six inch greasable ones also.dammit!i'd like to be able to rotate the axle, but . thats why i'd like to see pics. just to get ideas.:D

Home Depot uses something very similar around the garden center to move trees. check over on the side where all the mulch, rock and stuff is

Here is what I use:D

I just use the regular two wheel upright dollies, slide them under and pivot up, they work fine for all sorts of stuff.

you forgot the BROKE part Tim..:laugh:every dime i spend building the cart thingy is less money i have for the axles. Mike has some cool dollys, i forgot what we moved with them??

Similar to what others have used with the furnature dollies. When I was going through the 14 bolt and D44 I just installed I used 2 of the dollies with jack stands on the dollies. Used rachet straps hold the axles to the stands and bolted the stands to the dollies. Moved around the garage floor real easily.
Pic.
