How can some of you cut these thing up like you do???

I know if they are rusty...but hey,That makes my rustfree ones worth a little more :D

I dont have the heart to cut mine up...My 70 4x4 has 69 K/20 rears under it..rockwell case,4 speed...4.10 gears and a 7 inch lift...rollbar..I hope to get it fired up here in a month or two. so i can get it out and lose the top..and at least wash the dust off it..

I don't see much going on in this thread to complain about.....

"Cutting" is necessary for almost any change in wheel/tire combination. "Hacking" is what I'm more opposed to, but I don't see any examples in this thread. MNorby probably went the furthest with the cutting, but again....it's only metal, and any decent bodyman (or serious hobbyist) can put it right back later if desired.

you mean baby sh!t yellow? - I had a '73 pickup that color and I hated it. It looks pretty great on you K5 though.

Ochre was the original color on mine too...

It's one of those colors that grows on you though. I like seeing a truck repainted in that original color for some reason.

heres my 72 cst. 383 stroker, th350, np205, 1/2 ton axles for now and 35" toyo MT's. I had what I am claiming was a moment of insanity when I put the for sale signs in it and actually took a pic. I had to appologize for a solid week just so she would start for me...

Not much to look at yet, but it's in the body shop now and should be back on the finished chassis in a month or so.

I'm yearning for a DD, 1-ton '70 after I finish this one and my Duramax...:D

My 70

Here's my 70. I'm in the process of converting to large bearing spindles and disc brakes. The manual drums are scary as hell. Ten minutes of mountain driving and they are gone! :eek1:
