I finished servicing the trailer and getting some stuff squared away and got the k10 all loaded up this afternoon ready to hit the dunes! We'll see how this spooled rear end works in the sand :)

Anybody else wheelin' this weekend?

I wish, it will probably be a few years before I can do anything that is not $$$ productive.
I used to hit Pismo in May of every year, it's my birthday so I used to go there, it's been 3 years since I last went.

im gone this weekend to raush with vtblazer,formud,gmc4cw,proteck5,nikon4u,scrappyk5,and a bunch of others im ready :D

Avery, bring that thing to Attica, IN next weekend and I'll show ya some real wheeling. None of that wussy sand $hit :D

Looks like the trailer was plenty wide, very nice. Thanks for all the work you put into it.
Is it chained down??Can't see any. Heading out Fri. afternoon will see you there.

Yep we finally got it all squared away... I clearanced the hubs/rims so they slip on and off and I inspected and packed all the bearings and reset the spindle nuts so there isn't any play in the hubs now.
It'll definitely need a brake job at some point but for now they work.

Oh and no it wasn't strapped down yet.... Chris gave me his lucky black Warn hubs off his old 10b so I'm going to swap those on tomorrow night when I get home from work/school and then I'll tie it down so Friday morning I can run it over to Red Monkey to get the CB tuned....THEN... finally... I'll hit the road for Pismo!

I'm looking forward to seeing ya' there! If you can't find us just give me a ring on my cell.

I am going to pismo sometime over my spring break april 11-19. I will let you know when it gets closer

If the k10 is back in one piece maybe I'll make a trip over again... when we get back from this trip we're going up to the mountains for a snow run and after that I'm tearing the suspension out to soften it up a bit.

sweet, longer leaves or what?

Yeah I think we're going to go with 56's out back with a shackle flip on the "wrong" side and for the time being yank some leaves out of my 8" lift front springs... eventually we'll figure out something for the front too.

Nice, I like how my 56's ride out back soft and smooth with plenty of flex. Before I put shocks in the rear I could get the back to drop about a foot just turning at around 25

Perfect time to do a 52" swap.I have 2 sets for you to choose from.:D:D:D

When going to school there we played out there a good bit. Now I cant stand what the sand does to my junk so have not been back in a while.
The most fun I would have out there was getting other stuck rigs out, second only to scaring the crap out of any one brave enough to ride with me.
Have fun!

Well I pulled it off the trailer since I can't ever leave well enough alone :)

A friend gave me a good set of Warn hubs for my front end so I had to get them on before I leave tomorrow ;)

Man oh man are these things nice compared to the spicers that were on there... they engage and disengage without having to rock the truck back and forth, cross your fingers and wait for the stars to align.
I took the best parts from my old hubs and put them in a tupperware and duct taped it shut so I'll have it as a trail spare in case one of these ever fails (although I doubt it).

Anyways the k10 is back up on the trailer ready to go with some fresh hubs!

I won't be wheelin, but I might put some wheels on the truck! Kinda missing a rear axle at the moment... BTW -- Front diff is done and installed :D
