ford winstar has one that will work, pretty much any electric fan will work.

Something like this, just a hand throttle. It'll free up your gas foot, so you can use gas, brake, and clutch at the same time.

Wow.. and I didn't even catch my own goof... now I KNOW I'm tired. Too many late night runs at work...

Install a $6 WalMart lawnmower throttle for use as a hand throttle on your truck for the following reasons:
1. to keep engine idled up for winching/oboard air
2. cold start warm up aid
3. unsafe redneck cruise control
4. increase idle speed to keep engine running at steep incline
5. one foot for clutch, one for brake, control engine with hand
6. make folks ask "what the...." when they see turtle and
rabbit settings coming from a lever on your dash or shifter
I'm sure someone can think of more reasons.
*edit* I should have read all the posts before replying, I would have seen that this idea was already posted. Oh well. I'll leave it for my witty "reasons" for a hand throttle.

Here's some more:
-If you will be in mud or water, get some kind of rubber tubing and run the vents for your differentials, transmission and transfer case up to a higher point in the vehicle.
-Silicone the screws to your locking hubs in.
-If you have mechanical timing advance, get some lighter springs for about $15 for more torque from 1500-2500rpm
-Wax the truck so the brush slides by easier
. Actually, a coat of wax ahead of time can help the mud wash off better.
Another cheap mod that improves off-road performance is to bash every body panel with a rock, tree or sledge. This eliminates driver fear and allows you to tackle more obstacles.

What I did was measure the radiator width and height and found a duel electric fan that would fit in that space. Summit sells a Flex-a-lite controller unit for about $69.00 that can regulate the temp from the radiator, and it also includes a air condidtioning relay that turns on when the air is on. Or depending on your application you can hook up your own relay with a power on switch from your cab. It all depends on what your application and your budget.

I have ran my truck without the bolts in the rear and wothout a clamp between the 1st and 2nd leaf for years. Never had a problem with a bent leaf. And I'm not exactly easy on my junk either.
I'm not saying that it won't happen. I'm just giving and example of it not happening.

My friend bent his springs down by the spring plates because he didnt have the first and 2nd leaf clamped, just something I have seen
