Where should this wire go? (The orange one coming off of the alternator plug.) When we put this new engine in, we took some parts off and aren't sure where it goes now.

edit: Forgot to add, it's an '87 K5 w/ a 350.
 
That's the voltage sensing wire. It goes to the stud along with the charge wire on the back of alternator. The brown wire is the idiot light/Ing on.

It appears GM made the wiring simpler on the later trucks. The older trucks had the sensing wire wired to the junction block, but in the end, the wiring led back to charge wire/stud.
