Let's play "guess the gear ratio"

What gears are you putting in? Just in case you anted to go to a full floater, I knoww where theres a 14 bolt FF rear with 4.10s.

I'd probably say for gear installations in Spokane, talk to Mike Bader (B&K Motors or Baders 4x4 in the phone book). I don't know what he'd charge for a 14 bolt SF and a 10 bolt. He's done a couple sets of gears for me in 14 bolt FF's, but just as kind of quickie side jobs that I needed done real quick. You'd just have to call and ask.

Otherwise, a friend of mine over in Idaho is having some gears installed by a guy in his area... somewhere around Hayden Lake. I haven't met the guy before, and the gears are just now being done, so I don't have much info on him yet.

If you need phone numbers or anything, let me know and I can get them to you.

ok mine ended up being 4.56,now the question is what kind of diff would be in the back. the guy we bought the truck from said it had some kind of limited slip in it but didnt know what kind. it looks just like the open diff in the 14ff in my blazer but he said that the rear would lock up on him in mud. what should i look for?

Thanks For the Info. MountainExplorer, the gears are 4.56 and they are actually for my brother's 2500 Suburban, it's his Daily Driver so I just wanted to make sure he gets them installed by the best . So I will tell him to give 'B&K Motors or Baders 4x4' a call.

As for the 14FF rear my Blazer could really use one of those
