Let's Play Measure Your Lift

Ok, I'm trying to figure how much lift I ended up with after my lifted 52" front spring swap.

'91 K5 with 2.5" lift 52's (overload removed) on a D60 w/ B52's and 7.25 shackles.
Distance from axle tube to bottom of frame rail = 14.5"

Would someone with standard front lift springs please compare your measurements with mine and state your amount of lift.

I know when mine was on a D44 (stock 52's overloads cut down, zero rates, forget what shackles) I was 7.5" up. Now I have the 60 under it, and shims. So I'll need to measure tomorrow also.

I can get a measurement on one tomorrow. My crew has a straight up six in the front.

I just put in a Skyjacker 8 inch on a 91 burb and I have 16.5 inches from top of axle to bottom of frame.

ive got 6in BDS springs with a 6in shackle and mine measures 15in

Mine measures 14.5". I have 6" Rough Country springs on a Dana 60 with stock shackles.

Based on the numbers it looks like I did end up with about 6" of lift but I swear it looks taller. Here's a pic (+ 1" body lift & 42" TSL's) -

You have way more than 6" of lift there. Not sure what, but with those tires and all that space.

That's what I was thinking because it looks closer to the height of my old truck which had 10" & 44's. Oddly the frame measurement matches the 6" lift posted. I don't know...

mine measures about 15.5" so ive got about 7" lift, which is exactly what i wanted i guessed correct for once haha

heh. just for grins I measured mine. I went from top of axle tube to bottom of frame on the front and got 10" So, not really sure what that means. What is the formula for figuring out lift. Im running 2" rough country lift with ORDs HD front shackles which add 1/4 - 1/2" of lift.

There's no formula that I know of that's why I was looking for these measurements. Yours would seem to hold true - 2" lift and 10" between the frame and axle, add 4" (or 6") of lift and both numbers fall inline with what was previously listed.
