Lets play, name that wire

can't think of where the second oil pressure sender is. Oil filter area? I must have missed that sender when I swapped stuff over :doah: Sounds like what this wire is for.

The carbed setups I've seen use a dual outlet fitting in the "standard" position next to the distributor. The TBI setup examples I've seen use a dual fitting adapter above the oil filter.

The one above the oil filter is a crapshoot though. Depending on block year and application, that hole may be untapped, 1/8" or 1/4".

I saved myself a bit of hassle and converted to a later 3 wire sender/switch from a Camaro, although I believe a 90-91ish truck probably uses the same one. It's much smaller than the bell style sender. The plug was easy to find at a wrecking yard, pretty common on gm cars and trucks.

yeah, my suburban is sleeping in the middle of the woods tonight. If there were any space between my trans and the ground I may have found the wire :D

haha... oh yeah.

why take the burb wheelin when you've got plenty of more capable vehicles? Or was it unintentional?

At the moment the burb is the only running rig I have. My wheelers have never been completed. And I'm away from home at school so the Burb is all I have. It was amazingly fun. I figured I'd hate it with the wheelbase and crappy breakover. No problems what so ever.

Since you have a 465, theres a switch for the back up lights, then another wire goes to somehting else but im not sure what it does, that what it looks liek to me. Look for another terminal on the top of yoru 465.

That TCS wire is only on some applications. It *appears* (just by the various 465's I've pulled) that TCS on the 465 was not widely used, and again *appears* it was used in the 70's only.

It IS a single blade connector just like oil pressure, so it's possible depending on the year of the harness thats what that is, as long as you have both oil pressure sender/switch wires accounted for. Oil gauge sender is one wire, switch is two wire. A TBI (or CCC) truck would NOT have had TCS.

TCS connector is "on top" of the 465 shifter cover, near the reverse light plug, pointed at about a 45* angle towards the driver.

Again though, from experience, TCS is going to be pretty rare, especially in a newer harness.
