i am really usure of my 10b abililty and im wondering how far i can push it. what i really mean is i want to see some of your pictures when you were wheeling with 1/2 ton stockers, w/ big tires. see what i can probably attempt with confidence.

What is your current set up Tires/eng/trany/xcase?

That was me with 33x12.50r15 mud rovers and stock 10b front and rear never broke anything. I just went to 3/4 ton 10b (NO DIFFRENCE) and a 14BFF as of sunday

Here ya go. I've beat my junk up pretty hard but Im getting some one ton stuff on stand by. To be completely honest, I have never broke a 10b, but Im not hard on the gas at all and I pick my lines pretty carefully. I have owned 3 blazers, one with 31's one with 38's and now this one with 36's. The blazer with the 38's I broke the frame on, beat it up, swamped it in mud, took it through the cinders, had it catch on fire, and never had a problem with the axles.

I cheated a little, I got rid of the gov bomb and put an eaton in with 4.56's. No problems yet. *knocks on wood*

33's on the street. :)

Of course, like the other poster, this is a gov-lock. Open, or some other type of traction aid, they can and will survive (with luck) and sane driving.

I believe there is a photo with a tree as the 4th wheel because of a 10 bolt, but I can't find it. :)

Sorry, couldn't resist posting those. If you want to be hard on something in a stock heavy rig, a 10 bolt really isn't it.

yup , no chromos , and only one broken shaft so far since I locked the front .

Others wheeled hard on 1/2 tons before going chromos , and occasionally they swapped shafts , but not as often as some think ( d44's , 10b's and 12 b's abound in AZ , yet we ACTUALLY wheel )

I think you beat your junk harder than me... lol You make me miss living in Az. I hate the comunist state of california. Hooray for someone not afraid to use the 10b!

haha right on. I used to live in Flagstaff. I sure miss it up there. I always had places to romp my blazer up there. Arizona is one of the few places where an individual can live in the land of the free.

Here's a shot of me flexing... only good pic I have :o ..(I'm the one in the sand colored Blazer with the confederate sticker on my tailgate)

Then there's another one of me stuck in a rut :doah: ha ha

I dont have any action shots. I wheeled with 10bs for 2 years then switched to a 14b/d44 for 2 years. rolled the truck and still dont have any action shots.:( seems like nobody wants to take any pics of me but Ive got plenty of pics of them.

Action pic

Last straw second broken front after 1 broken rear with mild wheelin

Went whith the last pic (note the 60)

Just do it now and save the agravation. I used to stick up for 10 bolts on this sight. I was just cheap and jelous of the real trucks

wow those are some pretty rowdy wheeling pics, and some pretty sick carnage stories. right now i have an 85 k5 stock axles with 35 bfg's. i will soon have 456 gears. thanks for the boost of confidence and then the rapid decline back to wheelin easy! lol keep em coming

Brians89k5, what suspension setup do you have? springs and what not...

3/4 ten bolt front with 37" SSR's open is the only way it lives. I have broken a couple shafts at the U-joint.
