Lets see those C/K30's....

Heres the same 85' C30 i posted before but with new body panels and paint and wheels and .... Restoration thread is in my sig.

So what did you do suspension wise? Whats up front and a shackle flip in the rear? MORE PICS!!

Front is stock height 52's (will upgrade springs when these sag) and the rear is a stock spring with overload removed with a 2.5" shackle flip. Bilstein 5150's front and rear. I'm also going to put airbaga in the rear to use while towing.

I can't make up my mind on which set of wheels to use on my '87 V30.

I have the steelies but if they were to be powder coated, which color?

White, grey or black? I like either white or grey best with black the 3rd choice. I think grey wins over white.

And then I have aluminum Alcoa's. They look exactly like Kidjethro's and my '87 is also red in color but a regular cab truck.

Which would you guys use, steel or aluminum?

im gonna hoe mine out. been real busy and the truck started making me money here recently. with fuel cost, not much but some! stupid iphone takes terrible pictures though.

I think your truck is the sickest one in this thread.

Buying sh!t and selling very little . Just went to bismark today and bought another front clip like the one on my crew cab for my other crew cab. Think i'll start working on it now. Idk though

I know how that is. I got a set of 35s I have no use for. been trying to find a ford Dana 44 to SAS my white truck.

So, was it really worth it? How much on cost and all the little things everyone forgets?

Was it worth it? Of course it was worth it. Not like it's something I just felt like doing one day, it was something I really wanted to do. Cummins is a killer engine and has a great track record and I'd prefer to drive something like this old iron we all love. So of course mixing the two is a killer combo.

Cost wise, I paid $600 for the dually and I think $200 for the Dana 60.
Paid $4500 for a 94 cummins truck that I parted out and made close to $3000 back on. So at that point I was in it roughly $2300.

Spent $2000 on wheels and tires so I'm at $4300 now.

Then on everything else, all the small stuff let's say $2500 and that's probably high. So all in all right about $6800.

All of the important parts are new/rebuilt so this thing is going to be very reliable. I don't think I would have a problem selling this thing for $7000 which would mean I have less into it than it's worth. So again, it was absolutely worth it
