because of the way my bumper is designed and welded to my frame i cant move the factory mount or fit a set of b52s in there so im gonna have to make a crossmemeber...any help here

anyone??ive seen mrk5s but im looking at diffrent options using the fatory body bushing mount..my truck is not here so its kinda hard to draw something up and im going with a buddy to buy steel tomm

Give it time. Your thread has only been posted for 3 hrs and there are not a lot of people who have done the mod you are looking at doing. I take it you have a custom bumper.

Something like I did would probably work

How about some pics of what your working with

yeah here is what im working with its welded to the frame im worried im gonna have to cut the ends to keep the tire out of them ..i didnt want this thread to dissapear before anyone saw it btw

if you wanna give me mabey a week or two from now ill have a bunch of pics and stuff on how im doing mine using the stock body mounts and all that

thoose arent the stock mounts obviously what did you make the mounts out of (ie thinchness, material, size of material) you get what im saying

The top is all 1/2 and the rest is 1/4 besides the D-shackle mounts those be 1inch. Those are prewelded to 3/8 4x4" then slid through frnt bumber then welded to front along with welding the 3/8 to the back of it.If that makes sence?

I do see and understand the simplicity of the idea in the link.BUT, Me personally, not knoking on anybodies ideas, Would like to see something more structurally sound like a crossing link to the mounts. Not using blocks of steel for lift and a clean look is what I'm all about.

I did not use 52's but i moved my axle ahead 6" using factory length 4" lift springs. No reason why it could not be used for 52s though. It is welded directly to frame too.

I also did not use 52's but moved my axle 4" forward. Although I have more to do such as gussets to the frame. Right now its simply tacked to th bottom of the frame rail cuz that was th fastest way to make it stay once I spent half the day positioning it perfect.

Is normal reciver hitch tube (2.5" square 1/4" thick walls I think LOL I cant remember) the shackle mounts are 4 pieces of angle welded on with a tiny gap so I could weld through to the square tube as well as all around the sides.

Best pic I hve during the build.

Sorry I thought I had better pics!
A little explaination: I basicaly had to do this to compensate for the frame being taller than a half ton frame whre the shackle hanger goes. Oh and this is a 2wd C30 to 4wd conversion.
