how do ya'll have it, not exactly routed under the truck, but exiting...on my old z71, it was coming out the corners in the back at 45degree angles, and may do someithng like this...it seems like most 73-87's just have it dumped...not sure why, but they do.

i wanna straight pipe it, 45degerees out the rear,

so lets see your pics if you got em'!

this is the besat pic i got but it exits 45* after the rear tires.

Stock manifold, no cat, rusted out turbo mufflers, and side exhaust behind the rear tires. I don't like rear exits out the back because i cant hear it as well, and when someone cuts you off on the highway you can drive up beside them with it facing their window. =D

Hopefully going with a summit full exhaust system later in the year, 270ish bucks, full length headers, no cats, 2 super turbo mufflers, side exits in front of the rear tires.

Might just toss on a pair of glass packs right now to replace the rusted out ones(Started up a drill and the bottom fell off).

Here is mine. It is a true dual exaust with no cross pipe. It comes out right in front of the rear tires. When I shorten the frame I am going to take those pipes over the rear axle and then straight out the back. Sorry I'm rambling my brainstorms. sorry for the darkness i took these when I saw your post.

Give me till next weekend and I will have my custom built 3" single done and I will post pics:D . I got the old stuff out and the first flange system in with the cat. I got the muffler and tailpipe left and hangers but I run out of light rather quickly when I get home and my shop lights are down:doah: .

It might be done before the weekend but we will see. Either way I will post a finished product in here for you.

Stay Tuned chil'ren:D .

I paid to have mine out the back at 45 degrees and my rear springs kept hitting it :doah: so I cut it off, now it exits underneath the truck. If a shackle flip is in your truck's future I would advise against gettting it out the corners. because if not done right it will be in the way. Even though it looks cool.

I have stock manifolds with a cat, and straight pipes with it exiting @ 45 degress. The same setup you are talking about, it does sound pretty good and I have a 305.

Some times it can be poppy ( normally when it's not always warmed up) and I have some stainless tips on it, and the tires are always throwing dirt and crap on it when it is clean, but other then that it's pretty cool.

I would post some pics bu there is really nothing to take a pic of. Im just running open headers...nothing else.:D Oh...a good set of ear plugs too.

Strait pipes? Are you kidding? That would be really annoying and definantly illegal.

It did have 2 big blingin' chrome tips out back that werent tacked up and hit the bumper, so we cut them off and dumped em.
