i know its posted a little bit above mine but my 39.5s have been pu ton hold... im thinking about 44s as of right now... who runs 44s? how much lift and how much trmming???

i got a 8 inch bds lift but i may be able to take it back and get a bigger one??? any ideas?

id like to go up to a 10 inch lift but who knows... whos got what and what works and what dont?

What rears do you have? Motor? Body lift? What gears? Trans? Are you just looking for big tires or do you want function? And how much are you willing to spend?

to clear 44s without any trimming you need at least 15". i'm doing 44s with about 6" of lift & dovetailing the fenders & getting rid of the inner fenders. with 10" of lift you're still going to have to trim quite a bit. it's possible, just up to you how much you want to get rid of.

im thinking about a 12 inch super lift... and a 3 inch body lift and maybe a little bit of trimming to clear the 44s... i can get a great deal on a set of 44s right now so i want to jump on the deal... i got a good solid rust free body that i am going to use so i dont want to trim or rub.... i was thinking around 13-15

5", gobs of trimming, Axles moved fore and aft, no inner fenders, Dovetailed front and rear.

Nah, no swooping or thunder stealin' here. Just pic whorin' :haha: .

8 inches between BDS springs, ORD reverse shackles, Hill4x4 front shackles, and ORD zero-rates....no trimming, 44"s but only temporary cuz they were cheap....i put them on to see how it would look before i sold them...they rubbed when i turned or hit any sized bump...it looked good sitting there tho...back to 38.5's now...

ya thanks for all the pics but im just going to go with some 38x15 boggers that are new since i can get a warinty on them and since i also have other things to worry about... im going to run the axles i got for now and what not.. then i also dont have to worry about the damn high angle drive shafts to clear the 44s with no trimming and what not... thanks alot guys...

1/2 tons with stock gearing and 38.5" Boggers won't be a good mix...what axles do you have and how are they geared?

12/44 with 410s and detroit locker rear.. ill jus thave to drive on the safe side for now.

plus im not worried about spinning the tires as i got a sm465 and 208 t case and with the 410s ill have plenty of grunt... we all run around 38s with 4 speeds and 410s and we all have enough power so ill take the chance and say that ill have enough.. as my last truck has a 383 with 410s and 39.5x15 tsl and that still spun the plenty fast enough with the 700r4

yep with the 465 you'll be fine...I didn't catch that piece of info. before...

This is an old pic from around '79-'80 45" tires with 6.5" lift 60 front, 70 rear, 5.86 gears and Detroits in both ends.

8" superlift springs and a 3" body lift. bushwacker cut out fender flares.

I removed the bed and dropped the bodylift down to 2" also bolted on some new fenders with a nicer looking cut. fender flares don't last when you actually wheel them.
