I have a 72' blazer with 8" lift and 35's the wife is having a hell of a time getting in and wants me to put some steps on it. Not sure what I wanna go with and would like to see some installed and know what you guys think about the quality of them. I would like to see them on any rig, but prefferably a 1st gen! thanks guys

mine are sitting in the garage. Bottomed out on them a few times and since the steps were bolted to the rockers they ripped them up.

This is gonna be a pavement pounder only, so im not worried about that, I would prefer something that is mounted, and I dont have to mess with like the chain mentioned above. I am looking for something that is gonna look nice installed

Mine are high enough that I'm not too worried about them catching on anything or getting torn up on what pass for trails around here.

HYJACK ON: Element whats with those lines in your front tire? Is it a defect or just water marks? Looks like the wrinkles in drag race slicks.
Damn nice looking K5 though, good work.

They're small indentations in the sidewalls...they're just cheap road-manner tires (who the hell uses road manners 35" tires?) the previous owner put on...they'll be coming off soon. I'd imagine it's just a sidewall defect.

Got a few things to do to it yet before I'm satisfied, but it works as a daily beater :D

Hmmm just a thought but I personaly would at least put that one on the back. A 35 blowing out at 70mph on the front would be a little scarey.

BigBad Thise steps like slapper has only in a single step would look sweet on your first gen. By the way those are my favorite body style period and thats a very nice example. Im glad your keeping it nice.

they look like rock sliders with steps welded on. Also a couple years back i saw the swing away step deal, when you open the door it swings down and then when you close it it retracts. looks like a sweet setup ill have to see if i can find a link

I had smittybilt nerf bars on my truck. they came black and smooth so I installed diamond plate treads on them that were curved for tubing. they tucked up close to the body and looked good until I started wheeling it hard. eventually I bent the brackets and scraped up the undersides pretty deep.

this is an 8" lift with 35's. no body lift.
