Well I started building some tube doors last night for the K5 and I have the passenger side pretty much done but I have a problem. I have noteven though of a way to latch it yet. So let me see what you guys have done to latch your tube doors and keep them from rattling around....

I used these...they work with the factory striker if you remove the nylon roller first.

With these you can slam the tube door and it'll latch just like the regular doors.

You'll need a left and a right.

How much were those latches? Their website sayd you have to contact a salesman about pricing.

As I remember jms's tube doors have a latch similar to that. Maybe he'll post up pics. I just remember thinking how simple and effective they were.

They were made by Pimp Offroad, BTW.

Pimp Offroad asked me not to post closeups as that will hurt their business, and I intend to respect that.
That's cool, I understand that. At least we got their name plugged a couple of times. :D

They came with my tube doors as part of the kit at the time. I'd prolly just give tem a call and see how much they are. I can't imagine them being very spendy at all. It's real nice to be able to just push the door closed instead of having to lift a latch or something.

My tube doors from DIY have worked flawless. I would highly recomend them. Here is a picture of the latch. There are much more pictures of the doors on my post in the sig. line.

I have been working on a pair of cut-out doors, just to make the door jam/sill look nicer and I've modified an OEM latch... maybe when I get it all finished I'll post up if it worked or not...
