Lets talk about satellite radio equipment

there are no fm stations that play the music I listen to...ME-TAL! so there was really no choice but to get satellite radio. and ya gotta love the...commercial free, UN-EDITED part! I have a sirius sportster replay in my silverado...and I love it! it's just a plug and play unit, running with a pioneer head unit. comes in very clear. I didn't like the idea of having the antenna stuck on my roof, and wire running in from..wherever...so I just put it on my dash, right by the windshield, and it picks up fine. very easy to hook up...and I can take it out and move it easily. in fact...since I refuse to drive anywhere without it...I did just that. my truck's in the shop right now getting some body work done...so I pulled the satetllite unit out, and hooked it up in the rental car. sounds perfect. can't do that with the hard-wired units. only problem I have had...is it does occasionally skip just for a second going under some overpasses. but then I can be in some parking garages...and it does just fine. anyone else have this problem, with the plug and play or the hard-wired models? I dunno if this is a receiver problem, or just the sat. signal itself? anyway...satellite radio is definitely the way to go!
