I just would like to know how much does a k5, k10 shrotbox and a k10 longbox weigh? im trying to figure out a tow setup with some friends, thanks!

They all vary quite a bit based on engine, trans, t-case options, bigger tires, etc.
My 1/2 ton K5 was claimed to weigh 4700 lbs. I weighed it once with no top and no back seat but it did have a winch. The scale said 46xx, so 4700 lbs. is probably a good guess.

My 89 blazer with 1 tons and 35's weighs 5,880. I've since built a heavy duty rear bumper with swing out tire carrier and i'm guessing around 6,100 now.
Well, basically we'll need more info on the trucks. Scott's post here:
makes a good point, most K5's on this site are well over the 5K mark. Adding 1 ton axles add 500-700 lbs. by themselves.

That's interesting, since the axles don't weigh that much more by themselves. Were you including the weight of the bigger tires that usually go with the 1-tons???

Front Chevy D60 is 550 lbs., 14 bolt with drums is 550 lbs.
Front 44/10 bolt is ~350 lbs, rear 10 bolt is ~250 lbs.
I did throw the 500-700 number out off the top of my head but the above info says a 500 lb. difference.
My 87 K5 is around 5600lbs. 350/465/205, D44/14b, 36's. It's been as low as 5500 and as high a 5690 according to the scrap-yard.
