Im looking for a good high quality tire gauge. Im tired of the cheap china junk you get from local Advanced auto, etc.

Here is the type Im looking for............

Plews used to sell good ones back in the day,but I cant say if they still are any good nowadays.......I use an old pressure gauge from an air compressor thats known to be accurate on my tires,I just adapted a tire chuck to it with a few pipe fittings, its way better than trusting the junk ones at most gas stations "air stations" if you need to pump up a low tire...I've had them read way off, once I put in 32 lbs,and when I put my gauge on after to see if they were accurate, the tire actually had 47 lbs in it!...:doah:....I told the guy at the store counter maybe thats why so many kids grenaded their bicycle tire tubes there when they pumped them up!..

that only goes up to 40psi seems kinda useless. If like a torque wrench or pressure guage, you want to be using the middle 1/3 of the scale.

I have a few like the picture above. goes to 150 or 140psi IIrc I'll have to look again.

I got this one specifically for lower readings because most vehicles I drive/drove only ran 35 psi so it was logical for me to get this one. And the number reading is easier on the eyes whereas a higher psi gauge would have meant smaller print and requiring glasses to read.

Quick Car does offer a gauge that reads higher psi. Check them out.

140psi gauge is pretty pointless - unless it's in a big rig. Most stuff on the street is like 30-something, so a 140psi gauge won't be accurate.

What I want to find is a gauge for wheeling, that maxes out at about 15psi, so when you get below 10 you actually get a reading.

i need to buy a new nice triggered inflator with the built-in gauge for the shop... gotta get one of the $30 ones tho, the $10 china ones are cr@p.....

What are you talking about? All E load rated tires are 80psi.
Fine, if you run E range then get a 100psi gauge. If you run C range or something you only want like 50psi full-scale. That one still won't work for beadlocks. Maybe there's a good digital one that can cover all tires, but I don't know which one it is. The 150psi gauge is for the output of your air compressor.

Try Stephen at ORD.

ORD can hook you up with the ones they sell from Power Tank.
Little pricey but in my opinion the last gauge you will ever buy.
