leveling (lowering) the rear in a 79

Doing some work for a guy on a 79 and he wants it to sit level at stock height. He suggested taking a leaf out of the rear pack. I said we should just use a lowering shackle. What's your guys thoughts? Its got a 7 leaf pack and used to have a 4" lift with rear blocks. I did tell him its normal for tail to sit high. I'll post pics when i get to wifi.

Really though, pulling a leaf or two would probably get you pretty close.

Are these springs new, or leftover stuff?
